Is it called being a bad friend?

My best friend from high school has gotten married. She and her new husband were married in December. They were engaged for just over a month and dating a year or so, maybe.
They live in Utah and were married there. The Michigan reception is today.
The problem with all of this.....the snow.
I am a sissy when it comes to driving in the snow, especially on a day when the snow is wet and falling steadily. Normally, I would drive places but not 45 miles.
She really wants me to be there but I don't really want to risk my life!

See, she and I have been friends for almost 10 years but 5 of those years we haven't been real close.
We have changed and grown up. She is now Mormon and I think it changed her, maybe for the better. I visited her in September and I had an alright time. Everything we did revolved around her boyfriend (now husband). I enjoyed going on a plane for the first time and going to a place I have never been but not the time I spent with her as much.
I have found it hard to relate to her as of late.
Maybe I am rationalizing but I think I might be right in some way.
Who knows.....are we ever really "right"?

I shouldn't be blogging right now

Another semester has begun.
I am supposed to be reading some more psychology.
I have already read Physiological Psychology and have yet to read
Social Psych. and Counseling: Strategies and Theories.
What a night, huh?

So, I have to get this out in the open.
I live with a person, whom I hold dear to my heart.
She is a good friend but as of late she has not been there for me, literally.
She is never home and has a basket full of issues.
She is bulimic by all criteria in the DSM IV-TR. (For those who do not know what that is, it is Diagnostic Statistical Manual used to diagnose individuals)
It is frustrating because I care about her and to watch her basically kill herself is torture.
She leaves a mess from her bad habit and I find it difficult to deal with.
This is my drama but how can I "fix" it or help her...or better yet, help myself deal?

Critters...well just one

The critter I speak of is a little gray mouse, who is quite fat.
He comes from a PVC pipe in the floor. I don't know what the pipe is really for, except for maybe the water heater in the closet.
Either way he is not a welcomed house guest. He poops everywhere and carries disease. I really find him quite disgusting. I also scream very loudly.
It was more a of a shriek!!
He scurried under the couch a bit ago and Friday he went into my bedroom.
My bedroom is supposed to be my safe place without mice. EEWWW!!!
He needs to go....whether it be he dies or released to the wild.
He just needs to be out of my life!

Well....Here goes

So I have never thought about blogging....until now. I was bored and thought " If I blog, I might be less bored."....hence the title of this blog.
Do you ever sit home and watch TV because you have absolutely nothing better to do? You sit on your couch, or in my case a comfy chair, watch "Steel Magnolias" on the WE channel and surf the net waiting for someone to text or call. If you are thinking you are going to tell me that you have never done this it an adaptation of it, you are a big fat liar. I actually quite enjoy it...sometimes.
So this is to you, the lazy couch potato trying to pass time.
Enjoy the revelry of laziness!!!
