Is it called being a bad friend?

My best friend from high school has gotten married. She and her new husband were married in December. They were engaged for just over a month and dating a year or so, maybe.
They live in Utah and were married there. The Michigan reception is today.
The problem with all of this.....the snow.
I am a sissy when it comes to driving in the snow, especially on a day when the snow is wet and falling steadily. Normally, I would drive places but not 45 miles.
She really wants me to be there but I don't really want to risk my life!

See, she and I have been friends for almost 10 years but 5 of those years we haven't been real close.
We have changed and grown up. She is now Mormon and I think it changed her, maybe for the better. I visited her in September and I had an alright time. Everything we did revolved around her boyfriend (now husband). I enjoyed going on a plane for the first time and going to a place I have never been but not the time I spent with her as much.
I have found it hard to relate to her as of late.
Maybe I am rationalizing but I think I might be right in some way.
Who knows.....are we ever really "right"?

  1. I'm always right.

Well, most of the time. Okay, sometimes, but not really.

It's too late to offer advice on this now, but when debating whether to do something or not, I ask myself... Will I regret not doing this?

You obviously feel bad about not going, so just let her know your situation and how you feel.

    Did you catch your mouse?
